Soaking your feet in salt water while meditating is called Foot Soaking. This Sahaja Yoga technique relieves the body from stress and feels peaceful and relaxed.

Process Of Foot Soaking
Sit comfortably in a chair with your hands on your lap, facing Shri Matajiís photograph.
Light the candle in front of Shri Matajiís photograph.
Have a bucket 1/4 filled with water & add a handful of salt.
Keep a small mug of fresh water aside too.
Place your feet in a bucket of water. The water should reach your ankles.
Raise your Kundalini, and put your self in bandhan.
Give a bandhan (clock-wise direction) to salt water in the bucket.
Meditate for 10 to 15 minutes.
After Meditation Rinse your foot with the fresh water, kept seprately in a mug and dry your feet.
Flush the water in the toilet. Try not to look directly in the bucket before flushing.
Salt is added to the water to represent the earth element which sucks or absorbs away negativity.
